I’ve experienced the same hurdles during my 12+ year career in various tech companies of different sizes. No matter how big or small the company was, the one thing that remained consistent was utilizing spreadsheets, documents, and slide decks in more sophisticated ways than what came out of the box. That’s why I started Suite App Tools, a collection of Add-on Apps for Google Office products that are built to help users get even more out of an already vital tool in their toolkit. From complex things like API integrations to more simple things like Text-Formatting, each Add-on App was created to be simple and enjoyable to use.

Some of our solutions have overlap with fancier (and more expensive) third-party solutions, but those solutions are separate from the Google Office products and require you to log into a separate application - only to end up exporting its data to use in Sheets, Docs, or Slides. That’s why we chose to create Add-on Apps instead of a separate experience. There’s no better optimization for your workflows than to give you access to the tools you need, right where you already are.

What's Our Mission?

As someone who has spent the majority of my time writing documents and analyzing data in spreadsheets, I know how time consuming it can be - not to mention, how frustrating it can get when you have to jump through hurdles to get something simple done. That's why I learned how to use Google Apps Script and became able to (basically) infinitely extend the usability of Google Sheets and Docs. API calls, custom task management tools, curated workflows, automated emails, you name it. This opened new doors to how much I could do in a Google Sheet for my everyday tasks.

Over my career, I've encountered countless peers who shared similar hurdles. Wanting or needing to build a custom app only to be told that they either have no budget for a contractor or that there were no cycles in their engineering roadmap to assist. Little did they know that the majority of things they needed could be accomplished in Google Apps Scripts. Not everyone knows how to code though, so that's why I started Suite App Tools. For the common hurdles faced, we've built (or can build) an Add-on App for that. Our goal is to create a collection of add-on apps that can help regular business workers extend their own capabilities without needing to hire expensive contractors or take away time from their company's engineering teams.
